First chance to secure house & land in Cornerstone Living

Consolidated Properties Group and CVS Lane Capital Partners have teamed up with Metricon Homes to offer house and land packages at the award winning Cornerstone Living community in Sunnybank. Cornerstone Living is Queensland’s largest renewal project giving purchasers the opportunity to live in a master-planned community just 14 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD.

In Cornerstone Living’s latest release, Metricon has designed a selection of two storey, four bedroom homes to match 28 lots ranging up to 405sqm, with full package prices starting from $691,500.

Consolidated Properties Group Executive Chairman, Don O’Rorke, says the new release has been made available earlier than expected due to improving market conditions.

“Market analysts are tipping further interest rate cuts following the recent 25 basis point decrease, and new rules around how banks qualify customers for finance means getting a loan and owning your own home is now easier and more affordable,” he said.

“The results of the recent election has also provided certainty to investors that there will be no changes to negative gearing or capital gains tax.

“All of these factors combined have resulted in a much more favourable environment for home buyers, and that’s why we have decided to move the release of these first homes at Cornerstone Living forward by a couple of months.”

Mr O’Rorke says the new release, known as the Cornerstone Collection, will offer value and quality for buyers looking for a brand new home in the Sunnybank area.

“Sunnybank is located in a price growth corridor, but still represents excellent value when compared to neighbouring suburbs like Rochedale, which has a median price of just under $1 million,” he said.

“We have partnered with Metricon to ensure all home designs are suited to Cornerstone Living, with superior finishes including stone benchtops, high ceilings, quality appliances and tiled living areas.

“These homes, which include a separate study and double garage, will be delivered turn-key, which means every detail down to the landscaping, fencing and driveway is complete and ready for the buyer to move in.”

Cornerstone Living marketing agent, Ian Scarff of Colliers International, says there has been no opportunity to build a brand new freehold home in the community, as all previous releases have been focused on townhomes and apartments.

“This is a rare opportunity to secure a brand new home in an established neighbourhood, which is elevated to offer views and is within easy walking distance of Thomas Moore School, Griffith University and Coopers Plains Station,” he said.

The new homes will be located one block away from Cornerstone Living’s new 4,200sqm central park, which features open spaces, a barbeque terrace, children’s play equipment and a half-basketball court.

“A childcare centre is also due to open at Cornerstone Living on Deacon Street within the next 12 months and a neighbourhood shopping centre was also recently approved for development on the corner of Troughton Road and Boundary Road.

Consolidated Properties Group and CVS Lane Capital Partners recently appointed Hutchinson Builders to commence civil works to prepare the new homesites, which should be ready to build on by later this year, which means buyers could move in next year.”

The new homes will be built on a site bounded by Augstein, Babbidge and Macdevitt Street.
